A Wide Range Of Cover Options

We can provide a range of qualified staff to meet the criteria for the risk assessment and size of your event.

  • First Aiders - Our First Aiders will have completed First Aid at Work with Manual Handling training and other training which can include oxygen therapy, basic life support and the use of Automated External Defibrillators.  They are trained to recognise major illnesses, traumatic injuries and the need for spinal immobilisation.
  • FREC Responders - Advanced and experienced First Aiders qualified to carry out detailed patient assessments and administer a range of drugs and medical gases.
  • Nurses - Our Nurses and Advanced Nurse Practitioners are Health Care Professionals registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.  They are able to provide advanced patient assessment and an advanced level of medical care including minor injury and illness management.
  • Paramedics - Health Care Professionals registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.  Paramedics bring the hospital in to the field with enhanced patient assessment, cannulation, drug therapy, Advanced Life Support, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support and some surgical techniques.  They are able to administer advanced medication on their own initiative. 
  • Advanced Paramedics - Expand the scope of a Paramedic to include surgical skills and the administration of a wider range of drugs. They have advanced clinical decision making skills and expert clinical knowledge.
  • Doctors - Health Care Professionals registered with the General Medical Council.  Doctors are able to provide expert advice and care with enhanced patient assessment, prescription services, Advanced Life Support, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, some surgical techniques, and the administration of advanced medication.

  • Remote Access

    Apex Medical and Rescue has a rich heritage in remote and mountain rescue environments.  This makes us well placed to cover your difficult event or expedition medical needs. Apex are expert in managing casualties in challenging situations.

  • Professionally Equipped

    We carry the same level of medical equipment you would expect from our NHS colleagues! Apex Medical and Rescue carry full patient monitoring equipment, a full range of emergency drugs and medical gases and a full medical response kit to deal with any medical or trauma emergency.
